Waste Management appoints new top managers

Waste ManagementJuly 27, 2012, Houston, Tx., USA - Waste Management, Inc. annoouned that James Trevathan, Jr. has been appointed executive vice president and chief operating officer.
Mr. Trevathan became Waste Management's executive vice president of growth, innovation and field support in 2011. Previously, Trevathan was the senior vice president of the Southern Group, served as senior vice president of the Eastern Group.

Prior to that, Mr. Trevatha was senior vice president of sales and marketing for Waste Management and was responsible for sales and marketing initiatives. Prior to joining Waste Management, Mr. Trevathan held sales and marketing positions with the Stauffer Chemical Company.

The company also announced that Jeff Harris and John Morris have each been appointed to the role of senior vice president, Field Operations.

Previously, Mr. Harris was area vice president in charge of the Michigan, SW Ontario and Greater Toronto market areas. He has spent his entire career in the waste industry and has more than 28 years of experience prior to this position. Before joining Waste Management in 1999, Mr. Harris worked 17 years with Browning Ferris Industries and served four years with the Ohio Environmental Protection Agency.

Mr. Morris, currently chief strategy officer, joined Waste Management in 1994 and has held a number of field-based positions including his most recent role of area vice president of the Greater Mid Atlantic area. Mr. Morris is a graduate of Rutgers University.
