Velocys CEO Roy Lipski left company

VelocysAugust 12, 2015, Houston, Tx., USA - Velocys plc, a smaller scale gas-to-liquids company, announced that Roy Lipski, CEO, left the company.
Mr. Lipski has been heading fast growing technology companies for over 18 years. He has pioneered modular GTL since 2005 when he helped found Oxford Catalysts (now Velocys), leading it through an IPO and subsequent acquisition of Velocys Inc.

Mr. Lipski holds an Honours degree from Cambridge University, majoring in biochemistry. He began his career working at Goldman Sachs in London.

Susan Robertson, Chief Financial Officer, will continue to act as CEO until a new appointment is made.

A commercially focussed Finance Director, Ms. Robertson came to Velocys from the BOC Group (now Linde Group) where she had held various senior-level financial management and business development positions since 1990.

Ms. Robertson helped to set up and then, from 2003 to 2006, served as Vice President and CFO of Japan Air Gases (JAG), a joint venture between The BOC Group and Air Liquide.

Prior to taking up her position with JAG, she held finance positions with BOC in Japan, the UK and globally, as well as strategic and business development roles in the UK.

Ms. Robertson has an honours degree in economics from Cambridge University and is a chartered accountant (FCA) having originally trained with Arthur Andersen in London. In addition to her role as CFO, she is also Company Secretary and responsible for Group HR.
