Tom Johnstone proposed as new chairman of Husqvarna AB

Tom JohnstoneDecember 5, 2014, Stockholm, Sweden - Husqvarna AB, a producer of outdoor power products, announces that chairman of the board, Lars Westerberg, has announced that he declines re-election to the board of Husqvarna AB.
Mr. Westerberg has served as the Chairman of Board of Husqvarna AB from January, 2006. During his chairmanship the Company became a listed company on the Nasdaq OMX Stockholm stock exchange, in June, 2006. He is a board member of AB Volvo, Meda AB, Sandvik AB, SSAB and Stena AB.

Previously he served as President and CEO and Board Member of Autoliv Inc. 1999-2011, and President and CEO of Gränges AB 1994-1999. He also served as President and CEO of Esab AB 1991-1994.

Mr. Westerberg earned M. Sc. Eng. from Royal Institute of Technology, Stockholm, Sweden, BBA, Stockholm University, Sweden.

The Nomination Committee has proposed Tom Johnstone as new Chairman of the Board of Husqvarna AB.

Mr. Johnstone has served on the Board of Husqvarna AB since January, 2006. Mr. Johnstone is the President and CEO of SKF AB until December 31, 2014. He is also Board member of Investor AB.

He holds a Master of Arts degree, the University of Glasgow, Honorary Doctor’s degree in Business Administration, the University of South Carolina, USA and Honorary Doctor’s degree in Science, the Cranfield University, UK.
