Tharisa appoints Roger Davey to board

TharisaJune 2, 2017, Paphos, Cyprus - Tharisa, a resources company, announced that Roger Davey has been appointed to the board as an independent non-executive director.
Mr. Davey holds a Master of Science (MSc) in Mineral Production Management from the Royal School of Mines, Imperial College London and an MSc in Water Resource Management and Water Environment from Bournemouth University.

Mr. Davey also holds an Associateship of the Camborne School of Mines (ACSM) and is a Chartered Engineer (C.Eng), European Engineer (Eur.Ing) and member of the Institute of Materials, Minerals and Mining (IMMM).

Mr. Davey has more than 30 years' operational experience at senior management and director level in the mining industry in South America, Africa and Europe.

Previous positions include being the Senior Mining Engineer at N M Rothschild (London) in the Mining and Metals project finance team Director, Vice president and General Manager of Minorco subsidiaries in Argentina (1994 - 1997); Operations Director of Greenwich Resources; Production Manager for Blue Circle Industries in Chile (1979 - 1984); and various production roles from graduate trainee to mine manager, in Gold Fields of South Africa (1971 - 1978).

Mr. Davey will be serving on the Risk, Remuneration and Safety Health and Environment Committees of Tharisa.
