Tele2 Netherlands CEO steps down

November 14, 2013, Stockholm, Sweden - Tele2 AB (Tele2) announced that Günther Vogelpoel, executive vice president and CEO of Tele2 Netherlands, has decided to leave the company.
Mr. Vogelpoel has a strong telecom background from his 12 years within Tele2 through his positions as Managing Director Consumer Segment Tele2 Netherlands, Chief Operating Officer Tele2 Netherlands, Regional Director Customer Operations Tele2 Benelux, UK & Ireland and Marketing Manager Fixed Telephony Tele2 Netherlands.

He has been Chief Executive Officer of Tele2 Netherlands at Tele2 AB (publ) since May 01, 2011 and serves as the Executive Vice President. Hel served as the Chief Executive Officer and New Market Area Director, Western Europe at Tele2 Netherlands Holding N.V. since March 2011 and Tele2 AB since May 1, 2011.

Ernst Jan van Rooijen, CFO of Tele2 Netherlands, has been appointed Acting CEO of Tele2 Netherlands, effective November 13, 2013.

Mr. van Rooijen will become member of the Tele2 AB Leadership Team until a replacement has been recruited. Mr. van Rooijen has been Chief Financial Officer of Tele2 Netherlands Holding N.V. since April 2006 and its Member of Executive Board since February 12, 2007.

He serves as Finance Director of Versatel Nederland BV at Tele2 Netherlands Holding N.V. He served as an Interim Chief Financial Officer at Tele2 Netherlands Holding N.V. since April 2006. Mr Van Rooijen has been with Tele2 Netherlands Holding since February 2000 in various positions.

Before joining Tele2 Netherlands Holding in 2000, he was Finance Manager at Facilicom International from 1998 to 2000, an international car ier and control er at telecommunication network solution and mobile phone supplier, Ericsson Telecommunicatie from 1995 to 1998.

Mr. Van Rooijen holds a Masters Degree in Business.
