SVP Vic Gundotra leaves Google

Vic GundotraApril 25, 2014, Mountain View, Ca., USA - Vivek Vic Gundotra, senior vice president of Social at Google, announced that he is departing from the company.
Prior to joining Google, Mr. Gundotra was a general manager at Microsoft. He joined Microsoft in 1991 and eventually became General Manager of Platform Evangelism. His duties included promoting Microsoft's APIs and platforms to independent developers and helping to develop a strategy for Windows Live online services.

Mr. Gundotra joined Google in June 2007. His responsibilities as Vice-President of Social included Google's social networking service Google+. He is also credited for his contributions to Google Maps and Google I/O.
