Sir Ian Wood stepping down as Wood Group chairman

John Wood Group PLC announces that Sir Ian Wood will retire as Chairman.

Sir Wood has been Chairman since 1982 and was CEO from 1967 to 2006. He serves as the Chairman of the Board of J W Holdings Limited. Sir Wood served as the Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive Officer of John Wood Group PLC from January 1982 to 2006. He also served as Co-Chairman of the UK Oil & Gas Industry Leadership Team. He served as the Chairman of Scottish Enterprise.

Sir Wood served as a Non-Executive Director of The Royal Bank of Scotland PLC. He served as a Member of PILOT, a body that succeeded the UK Government's Oil & Gas Industry Task Force. He was Chancellor of Robert Gordon University, Aberdeen.

The company announces that it has appointed Allister Langlands as Chairman.

Mr. Langlands has been with Wood Group since 1991, initially as Financial Director, then eight years as Deputy CEO from 1999 and CEO since 2007. He served as Group Finance Director from 1991 to 2000. Prior to joining Wood Group he was a partner with Coopers & Lybrand Deloitte (now PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP).

The company announces that Bob Keiller, the Chief Executive of the Wood Group PSN division, will become CEO.

Mr. Keiller was Head of UK Operations for the Halliburton Production Services division between 2002 and 2004, becoming the Global Managing Director for the division in 2004. In 2006, he led the buyout of the division from Kellogg Brown & Root and laid down a unique identity and clear strategy for PSN. In 2010 he was instrumental in the sale of PSN to Wood Group.

Since April 2011, Mr. Keiller has been the Chief Executive of the Wood Group PSN division and a member of the Wood Group board. He is a Fellow of the Energy Institute and the Institution of Engineering and Technology, and former Chairman of the Entrepreneurial Exchange.

Mr. Keiller has previously held a number of industry roles including the Chairman of the Offshore Contractors Association and the Helicopter Issues Task Force. Mr. Keiller holds an MSc in Engineering from Heriot Watt University.
