Simon Sutcliffe new chairman of Premier Diagnostic

Premier DiagnosticJuly 29, 2014, Burnaby, BC, Canada - Premier Diagnostic Health Services, an operators of diagnostic imaging centers, announced that it has Simon Sutcliffe as the new non-executive chair of the board.
Mr. Sutcliffe's training has encompassed internal medicine, scientific research, and medical and radiation oncology in Canada, the United States, the United Kingdom and South Africa.

Mr. Sutcliffehas held staff appointments at St. Bartholomew's Hospital (London, England), Princess Margaret Hospital/Ontario Cancer Institute and the BC Cancer Agency. He was awarded the Queen Elizabeth 50th Jubilee Gold Medal and the Terry Fox Award of the British Columbia Medical Association for his lifetime services to cancer control.

Mr. Sutcliffe acted as the president and chief executive officer of the BC Cancer Agency, and prior to that he was president and CEO of the Ontario Cancer Institute/Princess Margaret Hospital.

Mr. Sutcliffe chairs the board of the Institute for Health Systems Transformation and Sustainability; is president of the International Cancer Control Congress Association, and the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research, Canada branch (Two Worlds Cancer Collaboration); is a senior adviser to the Terry Fox Research Institute; and is chief medical officer for QuBiologics Inc. and Omnitura Inc.

Mr. Sutcliffe is a past chair of the board of the Canadian Partnership Against Cancer (CPAC) and the Michael Smith Foundation for Health Research (MSFHR), and has served on the boards of CPAC, MSFHR and Genome BC. He is an adjunct clinical professor at the University of British Columbia and an associate scientist with the Michael Smith Genome Sciences Centre at the BC Cancer Agency.
