Sanoma Digital COO steps down

Sander ten DamSeptember 17, 2014, Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Sanoma Digital, a media group, announces that Sander ten Dam steps down as COO Sanoma Digital Netherlands and will leave Sanoma.
Mr. den Tam worked as Marketing Manager - Viva, Project manager, Sales Manage, and Manager Teleservices at Sanoma Uitgevers. He also worked as Marketing and Sales Analyst at VNU Business Publications.

Mr. den Tam also served as Group Product Manager - Print at Gouden Gids B.V., Manager of Business Planning at Truvo Nederland BV, Publisher at Kieskeurig, and then joind Sanoma Media Netherlands as Performance Based Director. He later was in charge for Group e-commerce at Sanoma, CEO of Sanoma Digital a.i., and COO at Sanoma Digital Netherlands.

Mr. den Tam earned his degrees at London School of Economics and Political Science and University of Amsterdam.

Arthur Hoffman, CEO Sanoma Digital, will take over Mr. ten Dam's responsibilities immediately, while a permanent solution is being finalised.

Mr. Hoffman has been appointed CEO of Sanoma Digital, Member of the Executive Management Group within Sanoma Oyj, effective as of August 25, 2014. He joined Sanoma from Expedia, where he, in his most recent role as President of Expedia's Affiliate Network, is managing a worldwide B2B business, and forms part of Expedia’s global executive team.

Mr. Hoffman has been active in digital media from the outset 16 years ago. At first through managing incubators and advising clients on digital strategies as a consultant with Booz & Company and Arthur Andersen, before switching to general management at Qantas, the Australian multinational travel company.

He holds an MBA from INSEAD and a Master’s degree in Chemistry from the University of Utrecht (Universiteit Utrecht), Netherlands.
