Portland General Electric appoints director

Portland General Electric CompanyFebruary 24, 2014, Portland, Or., USA - Kathryn J. Jackson has been elected to the board of Portland General Electric Company, effective April 26, 2014.
Ms. Jackson joined the ISO New England Board in 2008 and was named chair in 2013. She will step down as ISO chair on April 25. She is Chief Technology Officer at Westinghouse Electric Company. Before being named to that position in early 2009, she served as Vice President of Strategy, Research, and Technology.

Ms. Jackson previously spent 17 years at the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA), where she held various executive positions, including Vice President, Technology Advancements; Senior Vice President and Executive Vice President, respectively, in its Resource Group; and most recently as Executive Vice President, River System Operations and Environment. Prior to joining TVA, she worked for Alcoa and began her career at Westinghouse.

Ms. Jackson currently serves on the advisory committees of the Sloan Foundation's Electricity Industry Center and Carnegie Mellon University's Institute for Complex Engineered Systems.
