Peter Rigby to step down from Electric Word board

Peter RigbyMay 23, 2013, London, United Kingdom - Electric Word,a specialist information company, announced that Peter Rigby is to step down as a director and chairman, effective May 31, 2013.
Mr. Rigby joined Metal Box after qualifying as an accountant. In 1981 be moved into the media industry joining Book Club Associates, a joint venture between WH Smith and Doubleday. In 1983 he joined Stonehart Publications which was acquired by International Business Communications (later renamed IBC) in 1986.

After two years as Finance Director of IBC Mr. Rigby was appointed Deputy Chief Executive and later its Chief Executive, leading IBC's substantial geographic expansion. Since the merger of IBC and LLP in 1998, by which Informa plc was created, he has been Executive Chairman or Chief Executive. He was appointed Non-Executive Chairman of Electric Word in March 2004.

The company also announced that Andrew Stephen Brode will be joining the Board as Chairman, effective June 1, 2013.

Mr. Brode is Chairman of RWS Holdings plc, Reading Room Limited, BHP Information Solutions Limited and the e-learning specialists Epic Performance Improvement Limited. He is also a director of Vitesse Media plc and IT Governance Ltd.

In the last five years, he was the MD of Croner Publications and CEO of Wolters Kluwer (UK) PLC. Mr. Brode has been a Fellow of the Royal Society of Arts since 1995. He is a Chartered Accountant. He holds B.A. and F.C.A. degrees.
