Oilex: Bruce McCarthy to be non-executive director

OilexDecember 5, 2012, Leederville, Australia - Oilex, an oil and gas company, announced that Bruce McCarthy, managing director, requires a medical leave and has proposed becoming a non-executive director.
Appointed Managing Director in February 2005, Mr. McCarthy has more than 30 years experience in the oil and gas exploration and production industry in geotechnical and management positions. He has experience gained in Australia, North Sea, India subcontinent and SE Asia, onshore and offshore and with large international companies and independents.

Mr. McCarthy has worked in India in different phases since 1995 and has a broad knowledge and experience of the industry in that country. He is a member of PESA and IAPG spending a large proportion of time in Gujarat managing the companies Indian venture activities.

The company also announced that non-executive director Ron Miller will fill the position of acting managing director.

Mr. Miller was appointed as a director in July 2009. A chartered engineer in Australia from 1989 to 2011, he has more than 35 years of experience in the international petroleum industry. During his career, he held a range of senior positions including with Mobil, Ampolex, Clough and Hyundai Heavy Industries.

The company also announced the appointment of Robert Ierace as chief financial officer and company secretary, effective January 2013.

Mr. Ierace is a Chartered Accountant with a background working with the oil and gas and resources sectors. Most recently he has been chief financial officer and company secretary for Amadeus Energy. He also previously held senior finance roles with Kimberley Diamond Company NL, ARC Energy and Rio Tinto Iron Ore.
