Morvillo Abramowitz names Christopher J. Morvillo principal

Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & BohrerJune 30, 2010, New York, USA - Litigation firm Morvillo, Abramowitz, Grand, Iason, Anello & Bohrer, P.C., announced that Christopher J. Morvillo has been elected a principal, effective July 1.
Mr. Morvillo specializes in the representation of individual and corporate clients in federal and state white-collar criminal matters, parallel enforcement and civil proceedings, and internal investigations.

Prior to joining the firm, Mr. Morvillo served for six years as an Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York, where he investigated and tried a wide variety of criminal cases in the areas of fraud, money laundering, obstruction of justice, counter-terrorism, and narcotics.

Mr. Morvillo assisted in the criminal investigation arising out of the September 11, 2001, terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center and the Pentagon.

In 2005, Mr. Morvillo received the Attorney General's Award for Exceptional Service, the Justice Department's highest award, for his work as one of the lead prosecutors on a major multi-defendant international terrorism investigation and prosecution.

Mr. Morvillo is also an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University School of Law, where he teaches Legal Writing. He is also a former clerk for the Honorable Kevin Thomas Duffy, U.S. District Judge for the Southern District of New York.

Mr. Morvillo received his J.D. from Fordham University School of Law in 1992, where he was the Articles and Book Reviews Editor for the Fordham International Law Journal, and his B.A. from Villanova University in 1987.
