Marathon Oil: Randy K. Lohoff to retire

Marathon OilApril 29, 2010, Houston, Tx., USA - Marathon Oil Corporation announced that Randy K. Lohoff, vice president of corporate responsibility of Marathon Petroleum Company LLC, company’s subsidiary, will retire, effective June 1.
Mr. Lohoff served in a number of legal capacities with Ashland Inc. from 1977 until 1987 when he transferred to Ashland Petroleum Company as director of Human Resources. In 1992, he was appointed vice president, Human Resources and Safety, and in 1996 he assumed duties as vice president, Human Resources, Safety and Law Administration.

Mr. Lohoff was named senior vice president, Human Resources, Health, Environment and Safety for the Marathon Ashland joint venture in January 1998 and served in that capacity until the appointment to his current position.[break]

Mr. Lohoff earned a bachelor of arts degree in economics from DePauw University in Greencastle, Ind., in 1974. In 1977, he received a Juris Doctorate from the University of Louisville School of Law. He is a 1988 graduate of Indiana University’s executive development program and a 2001 graduate of Stanford University's executive program.

Mr. Lohoff joined Ashland Inc. in 1977. Ashland is the company with whom Marathon formed a U.S. downstream joint venture in 1998, and whose minority interest in the joint venture Marathon purchased in 2005. He assumed his current responsibilities with Marathon in August 2005.
