First Republic Bank promotes Mike Selfridge to COO

First Republic BankFebruary 27, 2014, San Francisco, Ca., USA - First Republic Bank, a bank and wealth management company, announced that senior executive vice president Mike Selfridge has been promoted to chief operating officer.
Mr. Selfridge joined First Republic two years ago and has served as the Bank's Deputy COO. Prior to joining First Republic, he was with Silicon Valley Bank for 18 years, where he was head of regional banking.

Mr. Selfridge earned a Bachelor of Science degree from California Polytechnic State University and an MBA from University of San Francisco. He recently completed Harvard Business School's Advanced Management Program.

The company also announced that it has extended the employment contracts of Chairman and CEO Jim Herbert and President Katherine August-deWilde for an additional year in each case.

Mr. Herbert will remain as Chairman and CEO until June 30, 2017 and will continue as Chairman until December 31, 2020. Before establishing First Republic Bank in 1985, he was founding President, Chief Executive Officer and a Director of San Francisco Bancorp. He earned an MBA in 1969 from New York University and a Bachelor of Science degree from Babson College.

Ms. August-deWilde will remain as President until December 31, 2015, and will become Vice Chair and Senior Advisor at that time, through December 31, 2017.

Ms. August-deWilde has been a Bank executive since 1985, President since 2007 and served as COO from 1996-2014. Before joining the Bank, she was Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer at PMI Group. She is a member of the Board of Directors for TriNet Group, Inc. and Equilar, Inc.

Ms. August-deWilde is a member of the Advisory Council of the Stanford Center on Longevity and a member of the Stanford University Graduate School of Business Advisory Council. She earned an MBA from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Arts degree from Goucher College.
