Famous Dave's announces CEO transition

Ed RensiJune 19, 2015, Minneapolis, Minn., USA - Famous Dave's of America, Inc. announced that Ed Rensi has stepped down from his role as chief executive officer.
Mr. Rensi joined the Famous Dave's Board in January 2014, and agreed to assume the role of Chief Executive Officer in February 2014 following the unexpected resignation of his predecessor.

Mr. Rensi has spent the majority of his career at McDonald's U.S.A., rising to President from 1984-1991 and then President & CEO through 1997.

Mr. Rensi founded Tom & Eddies restaurant chain. He also started and owned Team Rensi Motorsports, which competed in the NASCAR Nationwide Series.

He currently serves on the Board of Directors of Snap-On Incorporated.

He has served on the board of Great Wolf Resorts, Inc., International Speedway Corporation and Freedom Group, Inc.

Mr. Rensi earned a Bachelor of Science degree from The Ohio State University. He will continue to serve on the Company's Board of Directors and will lead the Board's efforts in overseeing the Company's international expansion efforts.

The Board has appointed Adam J. Wright, an independent director of the Company since 2013, to serve as interim Chief Executive Officer.

Mr. Wright has served as the Founding Principal and Managing Partner of Blue Clay Capital Management, LLC, an investment management firm focused on small and mid-cap public companies.

From September 2007 to December 2011, Mr. Wright served as the Senior Fundamental Analyst for Whitebox Advisors, LLC, a Minneapolis, MN based investment advisory firm.

Prior to joining Whitebox Advisors, Mr. Wright worked for UnitedHealth Group in corporate development, and Goldman, Sachs & Co. in the investment banking division.
