Electrica CEO Dan Cătălin Stancu to leave

Dan Cătălin StancuElectrica SA, an electric power supply and distribution company, and the CEO, Dan Cătălin Stancu, have mutually agreed to end their collaboration starting November 1, 2018.
Mr. Stancu is a top executive with an experience of over 26 years in electricity and natural gas, of which 19 years were spent in Electrica Group (1990-2009), during which he held several senior positions, including that of Director of Corporate Affairs and Privatization.

Mr. Stancu was a member of Boards of Directors of Electrica Muntenia Nord, Electrica Distributie Transilvania Nord, Electrica Transilvania Nord, E.ON Moldova and CEZ Oltenia.

Since 2009, he worked at E.ON Romania, where he held the position of Director of Strategy and Corporate Development and also a member of Boards of Directors of E.ON and E.ON Romania Renewable Distribution.

Mr. Stancu is a graduate of the Energetics Faculty from the Polytechnic University of Bucharest, also holding an MBA from Sheffield University, and a diploma in Management from the Open University Codecs, all in the UK.
