DTE Energy elected Murray and Anderson to the board

DTE EnergyMay 1, 2009, Detroit, Mi., USA - Mark A. Murray, president of Meijer Inc., and Gerard M. Anderson, president and COO of DTE Energy, were elected to the DTE Energy Board of Directors.
Mr. Murray holds bachelor's and master's degrees in economics, and industrial and labor relations, respectively, from Michigan State University. He held a number of financial positions with the state of Michigan, completing his career there as state treasurer.

Mr. Murray joined Meijer as president in 2006 after serving as president of Grand Valley State University from 2001 to 2006.

Mr. Murray is also a board member of Universal Forest Products Inc.

Mr. Anderson earned a bachelor of science degree in civil engineering at the University of Notre Dame.

He also earned a master of business administration degree and a master of public policy degree from the University of Michigan. He serves on The Henry Ford Board of Trustees.

Mr. Anderson oversees all of DTE Energy's electric, gas and nuclear operations, encompassed in its two main operating subsidiaries, Detroit Edison and MichCon, as well as all of its non-utility businesses.
