Director Stephen Stonberg to retire from BH Macro

BH MacroMarch 27, 2014, St. Peter Port, Guernsey - BH Macro, an investment company, announced the retirement of Stephen Stonberg as a director, effective March 31, 2014.
Mr. Stonberg has more than 25 years experience in both Europe and the United States. He was a Managing Director at Credit Suisse Asset Management in New York. Prior to this, he worked for Brevan Howard entities in both London and New York. He joined Brevan Howard Asset Management LLP in London as Head of Business Development and subsequently became a Partner.

Mr. Stonberg then relocated from London to New York to run North American marketing for Brevan Howard US Asset Management LP. He was the CEO of Brevan Howard US LLC, a member of the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, Inc (FINRA).

Prior to joining Brevan Howard, he worked for JPMorgan as managing director and Global Head of Strategy and Business Development for the Investment Banking Division and as managing director and Head of Credit Derivative Marketing EME.

Previously, Mr. Stonberg worked at Deutsche Bank as managing director of Global Credit Derivatives. He holds an MBA from Harvard Business School and a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics from Columbia University.

Mr. Stonberg is currently a non-executive director of Coalition Development Limited. He is a non-executive director of BH Global Limited and BH Credit Catalysts Limited. He was appointed to the Board in 2007.

The company also announced the proposed appointment of David Barton as a director. It is anticipated that Mr. Barton will join the board as soon as all regulatory and Guernsey Registry notifications have been submitted.

Mr. Barton joined Brevan Howard in July 2007. He is currently the Head of Legal at Brevan Howard Capital Management LP, the Company's manager, and a director of a number of the group's global entities.

Prior to joining Brevan Howard, he worked as a transactional lawyer in the Corporate group of Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer in London, advising on the structuring and launch of listed and unlisted hedge, private equity and other investment funds.

Prior to Freshfields, Mr. Barton worked as a solicitor in the Corporate and Finance groups of Freehills in Sydney, advising on a wide range of M&A, ECM/DCM and investment fund transactions.

He holds a Bachelor of Commerce (Economics and Finance) and Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from Macquarie University in Sydney and is admitted to practice as a solicitor in England and Wales and a solicitor and barrister in New South Wales, Australia. Mr. Barton is Series 3 (Commodities and Futures) qualified with the United States, National Association of Securities Dealers (NASD).
