Dairy Farm appoints Lord James Sassoon as non-executive director

Dairy Farm InternationalJanuary 24, 2013, Hong Kong, China - Dairy Farm International, a retail stores operator, announced that Lord James Sassoon has been appointed as a non-executive director.
Lord Sassoon, currently a director at Jardine Matheson Holdings, began his career at KPMG, before joining SG Warburg (later UBS Warburg) in 1985. He first joined the Treasury in 2002 as a civil servant, where he had responsibility for financial services and enterprise policy.

From 2008 to 2010, acting as an adviser to the then Shadow Chancellor, Lord Sassoon conducted The Tripartite Review of the UK’s system of financial regulation. Since May 2010 he has been the first Commercial Secretary to the Treasury in the United Kingdom, and he has acted as the Government’s Front Bench Treasury spokesman in the House of Lords.
