Coutts appoints head of active advisory for Asia

Coutts & Co.July 23, 2012, Singapore - Coutts & Co., a bank, announces the appointment of Johnny Heng as managing director and head of active advisory for Asia, effective July 19, 2012.
Mr. Heng brings more than 17 years industry experience, during which he developed and successfully set up investment consulting initiatives in South-East Asia. He joins Coutts from Credit Suisse, where he was most recently Managing Director for Ultra High Net-Worth Individual (UHNWI) and Family Office Investment Consulting.

Mr. Heng joined Credit Suisse Private Banking in September 2010 to launch investment consulting services to family offices. Prior to joining Credit Suisse, he was working with one of the largest family investment offices in Singapore where he was responsible for asset allocation and investments. From 1996 to 2007, he was with the Government of Singapore Investment Corporation where he worked in London and New York during his first seven years.

Mr. Heng was the Head of Quantitative Equities Division as well as Head of Global Equities Trading Division. Mr. Heng started his career in 1995 as a foreign exchange dealer in the former Union Bank of Switzerland.

Mr. Heng obtained his first degree from the National University of Singapore with an Economics major. He holds a Masters of Finance from Baruch College, City University of New York.
