Close Brothers CEO Preben Prebensen to step down

Preben PrebensenPreben Prebensen has decided to step down after ten years as chief executive of Close Borthers, a merchant banking group.
Mr. Prebensen will remain with the group for the next 12 months to ensure a successful handover.

Mr. Prebensen was appointed to the board as chief executive in April 2009 when he joined Close Brothers.

He previously spent his career in a number of senior positions at JP Morgan over 23 years, as well as being chief executive of Wellington Underwriting plc from 2004 to 2006, and then chief investment officer and a member of the group executive committee at Catlin Group Limited.

Mr. Prebesen is also a non-executive director of The British Land Company PLC and a member of its Nomination Committee.
