China Mobile appoints Paul Chow Man Yiu as director

Paul Chow Man YiuMay 31, 2013, Hong Kong, China - China Mobile announced that Paul Chow Man Yiu has been appointed as an independent non-executive director and a member of the audit committee.
Mr. Yiu was an executive director and Chief Executive of Hong Kong Exchanges and Clearing Limited. He also served as the Chief Executive of the Asia Pacific Region (ex-Japan) of HSBC Asset Management, and he currently serves as a member and the Treasurer of the Council and the Court of the University of Hong Kong.

Mr. Yiu is also the Chairman of Hong Kong Cyberport Management Company, and he is a member of of the Hong Kong – Taiwan Business Cooperation Committee and the Steering Committee on Innovation and Technology of the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Mr. Yiu is a member of the Asian Advisory Council of AustralianSuper, an independent non-executive director of Bank of China, and the Chairman of Plan International Hong Kong.

He is an alumnus of HKU, with a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, a Diploma in Management Studies and an MBA degree. He also holds a Diploma in Finance (with Distinction) from the Chinese University of Hong Kong.
