Camiel Eurlings KLM president & CEO

Camiel EurlingsFebruary 27, 2013, Amsterdam, The Netherlands - KLM Royal Dutch Airlines announces that it has appointed Camiel Eurlings as president and chief executive officer, effective July 1, 2013.
Mr. Eurlings is a retired Dutch politician of the Christian Democratic Appeal (CDA). He served as a Member of the House of Representatives from May 19, 1998 until July 20, 2004 when he became a Member of the European Parliament for the European People's Party until February 22, 2007 when he became Minister of Transport, Public Works and Water Management in the Cabinet Balkenende IV, serving until October 14, 2010.

Mr. Eurlings joined the KLM board on 1 July 2011. Mr. Eurlings is a graduate of the Technical University of Eindhoven (Master of Science in Industrial Engineering and Management Science).

He will succeed Peter Hartman who has held this position since 1 April 2007. Mr. Hartman will retain his seat on the Air France KLM Board of Directors and, in this capacity, will continue to be closely involved in the development of Air France KLM.
