Bob Purgason joins Chesapeake Midstream Partners as COO

ChesapeakeDecember 15, 2009, Oklahoma City, Ok., USA - Chesapeake Midstream Partners (CMP), a joint venture of Global Infrastructure Partners and Chesapeake Energy Corporation, announced the hiring of Robert S. Purgason to fill the newly created position of Chief Operating Officer.
Mr. Purgason joins CMP after 30 years of diversified experience in the natural gas, power generation and midstream sectors, having most recently served as Chief Operating Officer and Executive Vice President at Crosstex Energy Services, L.P.

Mr. Purgason graduated with a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Oklahoma and is a recognized industry leader.

He has served on the Board of Directors of the Texas Pipeline Association, the Gas Processors Association, the Board of Visitors Dean's Advisory Council for the College of Engineering at The University of Oklahoma, the Advisory Board for the Chemical, Biological & Materials Engineering School at The University of Oklahoma and has authored numerous technical and marketing papers.
