Bank of Cyprus appoints two to board

Bank of CyprusBank of Cyprus Holdings Public Limited Company and Bank of Cyprus Public Company Limited decided to appoint Pola Hadjisoteriou and Maria Philippou as members of the board of directors on each of these boards, subject to approval by the European Central Bank (ECB).
Pola Hadjisoteriouis a Chartered Accountant and a member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW).

Ms. Hadjisoteriou started her accountancy career at Howard, Wade & Jacob before moving to PricewaterhouseCoopers.

Following a six-year tenor at the Latsis Group of Companies as Deputy General Manager of Internal Audit, Ms. Hadjisoteriou embarked between 1988-2015 on a career in Banking, at first with Eurobank Ergasias S.A as Group Chief Financial Officer and then with National Bank of Greece as Deputy Chief Executive Officer & Chief Financial Officer.

Currently, Ms. Hadjisoteriou serves as an advisor to the Latsis Group of Companies in the UK.

Maria Philippou holds a degree in Business Administration, from Nottingham Trent University and a Master of Science in Human Resources Management, from Brunel University.

Ms. Philippou started her career as an HR Consultant with KPMG Greece, before moving to the Lambrakis Press Group as HR Generalist.

Having spent three years with Eurobank Ergasias S.A as Compensation & Benefits Manager, in 2006 Ms. Philippou moved to the Coca Cola Company Group, progressing through various roles such as Rewards Manager and HR Business & Strategic Partner to her current position as Global Talent & Development Director.
