Aviva CFO to step down

Patrick ReganJanuary 23, 2014, London, United Kingdom - Aviva plc, an insurance company, announces that Patrick Regan, chief financial officer, will be leaving the group in June.
Mr. Regan joined Aviva in February 2010 as chief financial officer, when he was also appointed to the Aviva plc board and as a member of the group executive committee. Since April 2012, he has assumed responsibility for Aviva USA. He is chairman of Aviva Investors and is currently a member of the supervisory board of Delta Lloyd N.V.

Prior to joining Aviva. Mr. Regan had been group chief financial officer and latterly also chief operating officer at Willis Group (insurance). He was also chairman of Willis Capital Markets and Advisory, the investment banking business which he established. His previous roles have included group financial controller at Royal & Sun Alliance plc (insurance), and finance and claims director for UK general insurance at AXA SA (insurance).

Before that, he held a number of senior management positions at General Electric Capital (financial services), and specialised in corporate finance and investigations at Grant Thornton (professional services).

Mr. Regan has a BSc in Mathematics from the University of Leeds and is a chartered accountant. He is a member of the CFO Forum.
