Atlas Mara: Two directors left the company

Atlas MaraAtlas Mara Limited, the sub-Saharan financial services group, announced that Richard Boucher and Eduardo Mondlane, Jr., have stepped down from the board to concentrate on their other interests.
Richard Boucher was, until October 1, 2017, Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of the Bank of Ireland Group having taken up that role in February 2009.

Prior to assuming the role as Group CEO, Mr. Boucher was Chief Executive of Retail Banking at Bank of Ireland from 2006 – 2008 and had been Chief Executive, Corporate Banking from 2004 – 2006.

Before that, Mr. Boucher worked in Ireland, the UK and the US in various roles for Royal Bank of Scotland, NatWest Bank, Ulster Bank and the Industrial Credit Corporation.

He also serves as a non – Executive Director of Eurobank Ergasias.

Mr. Boucher was educated in Southern Africa before obtaining an Economics Degree from Trinity College Dublin in 1980.

Eduardo Mondlane, Jr. is Non-Executive Directorships at Signature, Project Materials Moçambique, Logistique Lda, I.M. Trading/MCM Investimentos, Mincor Mozambique Lda, Signature Grupo Imboliara Lda/Signature Property Group Lda, Ilha Quilalea Lda, Tutudesk Company.

Mr. Mondlane is Senior strategic advisor to Anadarko Petroleum Corporation in Mozambique.

Mr. Mondlane was Non-Executive Directorships at ABSA Group and ABSA Bank Limited (Barclays Africa Group), ABSA Financial Services, Barclays Bank Mozambique and Banco Commercial Angolano SA.

He was Non-Executive Directorships at Ninham Shand Moçambique Lda, Pick n Pay Supermarket Group (Mozambique) and Sabacor UK Limited.

Mr. Mondlane was Strategic advisor to Boeing, Siemens, Sinohydro and Essar Global.
