Adel Saleh Al-Ghamdi new CEO of Saudi Stock Exchange

Saudi Stock ExchangeAugust 2, 2013, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia - The Saudi Stock Exchange (Tadawul) announced that Adel Saleh Al-Ghamdi has been appointed as the new chief executive officer, effective July 1, 2013.
Mr. Al-Ghamdi is a CFA Charterholder and member of the CFA Society of the UK with nearly 17 years of experience working in the financial services industry in the Kingdom and the UK. He also holds the Investment Management Certificate from the UK Institute of Investment Management and Research (now called the CFA Society of the UK).

Mr. Al-Ghamdi served as a Divisional Director, Corporate Finance & Issuance at Capital Market Authority where he held a number of senior positions including Manager - Mutual Funds Continuous Disclosure Department, and Manager - Financial Instruments Department. He also served on the Management Committee. He was also Associate Director, Global Investment Banking Advisory at HSBC Saudi Arabia, where he came from Riyad Bank Europe.

Mr. Al-Ghamdi began his career as an engineer, having completed a BEng Honours degree in Mechanical Engineering at Kingston University, London, UK, and over the course of 12 months also worked in various engineering and design functions in his capacity as an Industrial Trainee with Rolls-Royce (Aerospace) in Derby, UK.

Over the course of the last 4 years Mr. Al-Ghamdi has attended various executive leadership programs at Harvard, London Business School, and Berkeley Haas School of Business.
