25,000 tonnes off Ecuador's shrimp exports in two months

The coronavirus pandemic reduced Ecuadorian shrimp exports by 25,000 tonnes in just two months in the first quarter of the year according to recently published statistics.

In terms of exports, demand from Ecuador's three largest markets Asia, the EU and the U.S. all decreased at different times in Q1, resulting in exports being 25,000 tonnes lower than had been forecast at the end of last year.
