Samsung adds a new 12 megapixel camera to its extensive digital camera line-up for 2010 - the waterproof Samsung WP10 (also known as Samsung AQ100 in the United States).

Samsung WP10Thanks to its elements-focused design, the Samsung WP10 underwater camera grants peace of mind and allows users to focus on taking the perfect shot, rather than worrying about damage to the camera from water. A powerful camera on land or in water, the Samsung WP10 boasts an ample, 5x optical inner-zoom lens complete with Digital Image Stabilisation to help reduce blurry images. The Samsung WP10 digital camera also features a bright, 2.7-inch TFT-LCD screen for framing and reviewing images.

Samsung WP10Offering extraordinary capabilities, the slim - only two centimeters thick - Samsung WP10 underwater camera was developed for use in up to 10 feet of water and thanks to the camera’s exceptional low-light performance, it’s capable of taking bright images at that depth. Whether taking photos of friends and family in the pool or a school of fish while snorkeling in the ocean, users will benefit from the Samsung WP10’s dedicated Aqua mode, which will optimize camera settings for the best possible underwater photos.

The Samsung WP10 offers image stabilisation while recording video and for complete simplicity, it has Smart Auto (Still & Movie) scene recognition technology which fine tunes both video and picture settings for the best possible results.

Samsung WP10Samsung’s advanced Smart Auto allows you to professional-looking photos so you never have to worry about them being washed out, too dark or out of focus. Smart Auto analyses key elements of your composition such as colour, brightness, motion and subject and then automatically adjusts to take the perfect shot.
