Oppo R7
Smartphone   Qualcomm octa-core processor in a stylish body

The newly released Oppo R7 is a powerful but affordable smartphone with very good all-metal body and design that's above its price range.

Oppo R7You can get the new Oppo R7 via both Amazon and Oppostyle for $400 and for that price, you'll get a very nice smartphone. Oppo R7 features a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 Octa-core processor, an Adreno 405 GPU and 3GB of RAM – a feature that we welcome in these days of many apps and games on our smartphones, very nice decision indeed. The front camera is very selfie-respectable with 8MP and the rear is standard 13MP but not from Sony, this time Oppo used a Samsung camera.

Oppo R7VOOC Flash Charge technology allow the R7's 2320mAh battery to be charged to 75% in just half an hour. The battery could have been a bit bigger, technologies exists these days, but we presume the company didn't want to make a thicker device. Being an Asian smartphone, Oppo has dual-SIM 4G LTE connectivity and frankly we don't understand why that feature is not present in western phones because it allows you to separate your personal and private life in a very easy and convenient way.

Oppo R7The Oppo R7's all-metal design is what sets it apart from other mid-range offerings. We bet you'd have a hard time trying to figure out Oppo R7'2 price based only on its look: this look and feel belongs to a higher category, from feel in hand to overal design. Oppo features a fFull HD and it deserves to be called HD. Thanks to pixel density of 445ppi you'll look at crisp-looking text and images, and there is also AMOLED technology included and we believe we all know how good it is. For an affordable phone, the screen is fantastic.

Oppo R7The look and feel is great. Metal plus glass are incorporated in a very elegant design called 2.5D Arc Edge which is obviously marketing talk but it looks very good. The power button is on the left side where we used to see volume buttons so it takes a little bit to get used to. A nice option is a double tap to wake the Oppo and the memory card slot is nicely located and it doesn't interrupt the design flow. The Oppo R7 is a very nice device, interesting, and we would like to see more devices like this one in this price range.
