Huawei P8, big display, small price, a lot of powerAdriana First ▼ | May 28, 2015
Huawei presented its new P8, a smartphone with a big display but cheaper than some other high-end devices. And it has some nice features too.
Smartphone The Huawei P8 is a very interesting smartphone
The metal power key is located about half way down the right of the P8, the volume key is above it, and below are two slots for 4G nanoSIM and for a microSD card with up to 128GB which also doubles as a second nanoSIM port. The P8 comes in a single and dual SIM version so it should be popular in "dual-SIM" countries like India. It comes in four colors so you may pick up one up to your desire although those colors are standard and no surprises here. But be careful: mystic and grey models have 16GB model, and black and prestige have 64GB.
The full 1920 x 1080 HD display has a pixel density of 424ppi, the picture is clear and easy on eyes, pictures are bright, colors looks fine, and if it is not the best display out there, most probably, we doubt you'll have anything against it. Under the hood, operating system is Android 5.0, RAM has 3GB RAM, the main processor is Hisilicon Kirin 930 with 8-core 64bit and working at 2.0GHz, so there should be no problem with the power at all. Connectivity is standard, all options are present, as well as a bunch of sensors to play with.
The Huawei P8 has a 2,680mAh capacity battery, a good choice for such a big phone but then again there are some battery monsters out there so maybe the company could put something bigger in it although we doubt that's possible because of its thickness. When all is said and done, the Huawei P8 is a very interesting smartphone, it has enough power, some interesting power-saving features, the dispplay is very good, and if you are searching for your new smartphone powered by the newest Android you should take a look at the P8, definitively. ■
