Gogole launched the Nexus 6, a 6-inch phone made in collaboration with Motorola. With a big screen the Nexus 6 is Google's first try at a phablet, and a relatively good first try.
Phablet The first try could have been better
That's 2,560 x 1,440 pixels spread over the 5.96-inch display, which comes out to a pixel density of 493 ppi. The device uses Quad HD AMOLED panel which means that you expect a very very good picture quality. The Nexus handsets to run Google's latest OS Android 5.0 Lollipop. The new OS comes with a number of new features including improved battery life as probably the most important, unlocking with trusted devices, improved Google cards and a new look called Material Design.
To run all of those new and great technologies, along with Adreno 420 graphics processor, you need a good battery. The Nexus 6 has a giant 3,220mAh which means you should get enough soup for many hours but don't forget that the huge screen needs a lot of power, add to that several apps and heavy usage, and don't be disappointed if your batter lives for 10 hours or so max. However, there is a quick charging option which makes your life a bit brighter: 16 minutes of charging will give you enough power for several hours.
The Nexus 6 is an interesting device, especially for those who love big displays, but if you are really into them you should check some Chinese manufacturers because they offer great characteristics at a lower price and with the latest technology. ■
