"We are not getting along at all" with the negotiations, Trump said at a press conference in New York on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly.

Canadian and US negotiators have been locked in intense talks in recent weeks to try to secure a deal to replace NAFTA after the Trump administration reached a deal with Mexico.

A deadline of October 1 has been set to present an agreement to the US Congress in order for Canada to join the deal the Trump administration has signed with Mexico.
