Russia to limit imports of medical equipment

Russia's government plans to limit purchases of foreign-made medical equipment in case its analogues are manufactures domestically, Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev said.

"Our medical industry has actually recovered as compared to what is was ten to fifteen years ago: a great number of medical devices are produced in Russia, but it does not mean that we must refuse from what we don't have in our country," Mr. Medvedev noted.

Arkady Dvorkovich, Deputy Prime Minister, said that the list of medical equipment subject to limitation was being squared.
