The Russian government sees no signals that Ukraine has any plans to violate the agreements on natural gas transit, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Kozak told reporters yesterday.

He said that a decision of Ukrainian energy holding Naftogaz Ukrainy to resubmit a case on the loss of assets in Crimea is unrelated to the Russia–Ukraine gas agreement.
Russia and Ukraine signed a package gas deal on December 30, including a 5-year transit contract. Gazprom guarantees shipment of 65 billion cubic meters (bcm) of gas in 2020 and 40 bcm each following year. ■
