Romanian Prime Minister Mihai Tudose addressed the Parliament saying that the country will exceed the 5.2% economic growth estimated in PSD’s governing program for this year.

Public investments reached RON 2.4 billion (EUR 522 million) in July, up 33% over July 2016, said Tudose.
He also said that the budget deficit reached 0.77% of the GDP in the first eight months of the year and the public debt amounted to 37% of the GDP, the third-lowest among the EU countries.
Members of the opposition party PNL asked the Prime Minister to present the current situation of the Romanian economy.
They also asked about the lack of highways. Tudose responded by saying that one can’t compare the current transport minister Razvan Cuc to the former transport minister Ludovic Orban, who is now the leader of the liberal party PNL.
“You can’t compare something to zero,” said Tudose. “None of us drove on the Orban highway.” ■
