Warsaw could be interested in buying liquefied natural gas (LNG) from the United States, he said.

Poland's LNG terminal at the Baltic port of Swinoujscie could ultimately be expanded, so that its annual capacity reaches 10 billion cubic metres.

Poland has approved PGNiG's plan to build a gas pipeline between Poland and Norway, Polish government's energy official Piotr Naimski said.

PGNiG had previously said it wanted to build a pipeline between Poland and Norway by 2022, when its current deal to buy gas from Russia's Gazprom expires.
