Nigerian buyers focused on food, machinery, healthcare and medical products at the Monday trade meeting in Taipei, according to the Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA).
Representatives from Yomgbola Concept Nigeria, a retailer in the West African country, made trial orders worth NT$300,000 ($10,000) for refrigerators, televisions, stereos and motors during their first visit to Taiwan, the statement said.
Nigerian hospital operator Ace Medicare Clinics also praised Taiwanese products, according to the TAITRA statement, and said that it hopes for closer cooperation with Taiwanese suppliers as a new hospital is expected to be completed next year. ■
