The Moroccan daily Le Matin said the agreements were signed during an official ceremony chaired by the Moroccan King Mohammed VI and Nigerian President Muhammadu Buhari, on late Sunday at the Rabat Royal Palace.

The first agreement is a joint declaration between the two sides on the completion of the next phase of the regional gas pipeline strategic project connecting gas resources from Nigeria to West African countries and Morocco.

The major project was agreed upon between the two leaders during the Moroccan king's visit to Nigeria in December 2016.

The second signed document is a Memorandum of Understanding for the development of an industrial platform in Nigeria for the production of ammonia and related products.

The third one is a cooperation agreement in the field of agricultural vocational training and technical supervision.
