Cooperation   OECD membership is a top priority for Lithuania
"OECD membership is currently a top priority for Lithuania. I am pleased that our Australian colleagues have favourably evaluated Lithuania's efforts and programmes it implements seeking for an invitation to begin OECD accession process," said the Lithuanian foreign minister, reports LETA/ELTA.

Linkevicius thanked Australia for constructive cooperation in the United Nations Security Council in 2014.

"Relations between Lithuania and Australia are based on common values: democracy, respect for human rights and active participation in the international arena. The relations are enhanced by a large and active Lithuanian community in Australia," the minister said.

Last weekend Linkevicius met with Lithuanian communities in Melbourne and Sydney, and with members of the Australia-Lithuania Business Council.
