About 30 scientists and engineers from 10 ASEAN countries, as well as China and Japan, attend the Korea-ASEAN Science & Technology Innovation Forum.

The Daejeon forum will begin with a keynote speech by Min Dong-pil, a member of the Scientific Advisory Board of the U.N. Secretary-General. His speech will focus on the "Development of Science & Technology and Innovation Sharing."

Following the speech will be in-depth discussions on three themes: science and technology innovation strategies; capacity building and international partnership; and, lastly, innovative platforms and talent mobility.

On day two of the conference, participants will share their ideas on two agenda items; science and technology platforms and innovation sharing; and, an Asian science and technology network and sustainable development.

The science and technology-themed forum is part of the upcoming ASEAN-Republic of Korea Commemorative Summit. The summit, marking the 25th anniversary of the establishment of ties between Korea and ASEAN, will run from December 11 to 12 in the southern port city of Busan.
