Israel and Italy to cooperate in cyberspace

Israel and Italy have signed the declaration of cooperation in cyberspace. This is the first document of its kind Israel has signed with a foreign country.

The signing took place during the visit of Israel's Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Rome. In the wake of the signing, it was additionally agreed that delegations from Italy will attend the first Cyber Exhibition and Conference, to be held from 27 to 29 of June 2014 at the Israel Trade Fairs & Convention Center.

The exhibition is organized by Israel Defense, in cooperation with Ben Gurion University of the Negev and sponsored by the National Cyber Bureau headed by Dr. Eviatar Matanya. The chairman of the conference is the Head of Civilian Sector Division of the bureau, Rami Efrati.

Among the global senior officials arriving especially for the conference: IBM Senior Vice President Stephen Mills, Executive Vice President of the global EMC and RSA Executive Chairman Art Coviello, Senior Vice President of Cisco Bryan Palma, Vice President of Symantec Samir Kapuria, Eugene Kaspersky - Kaspersky Labs founder and Gil Shwed, CEO and founder of the Israeli company Checkpoint.
