Iran, Turkey to broaden cooperation in industrial parks

Iran and Turkey agreed on joint investment in construction of industrial parks and sharing each other's capabilities in supporting the small- and medium-sized industries.

Deputy Minister, Chairman of the Board of Directors and Managing Director of Iran Small Industries and Industrial Parks Organization Ali Yazdani, heading a delegation, is touring industrial cities and technological parts in Ankara to talks with the officials at Turkey's Ministry of Science, Industries and Technology.

The Iranian delegation is visiting Başkent industrial city some 40 kilometers west of Ankara. Başkent industrial city is the fifth industrial city in Turkey and the biggest in Ankara.

The Iranian delegation met with Turkish officials on expansion of mutual cooperation in the sector.

Referring to existing commonalities in both countries, Yazdani voiced the willingness of the Iranian delegation for broadening cooperation as well as joint venture to construct industrial towns.

It was agreed that Turkish economic delegation to visit Iran to inspect specified industrial cities and also being acquainted with the governing rules and regulations to help boost investment incentive.

Officials from the east and west Azarbaijan provinces are now accompanying Yazdani during the visit.
