Iranian and German officials in a meeting signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on cooperation between the two countries on ship-building.

"The MoU aims to transfer know-how in the field of software, construction of oil drilling rigs (Jack-up), ships and equipment as well as creating new markets and using each other's capacities," Rezaiyan said.
He said that ISOICO is one of the biggest shipbuilding companies in the Middle East and Nordic is the biggest shipbuilding company in Germany.
ISOICO has 30 years experiences in shipbuilding and repairing as well as construction of oil and gas platforms.
Germany was the first European country to send a major trade delegation to Tehran to expand economic relations after the July nuclear deal between Iran and the Group 5+1 (the US, Russia, China, France and Britain plus Germany). ■
