Iran's Deputy Iranian Commerce Minister Mojtaba Khosrotaj and Minister-President of Belgium’s Flanders Geert Bourgeois signed an MoU on bilateral cooperation.
Trade deal $120 billion in exports of goods
Non-oil economy has a high priority in national policies, he said, adding, "In 2015, Iranian businessmen hit the record of $120 billion in exports of goods as well as $30 billion in exports of services making an aggregate total of approximately $160 billion in exports of goods, services and oil."
Touching on age-old ties between the two countries, he said, "We welcome firms interested in ties with Iran since the country has always backed development of relations as a means for advancement."
Khosrotaj noted, "We prefer business activities and collaborations in which all people are involved. Belgium's ranking as second in elementary education points to the importance the country places on science and knowledge. Iran supports cooperation based on technical knowledge." ■
