"We pay special attention to developing regulations for confirming the country of goods origin and maintaining the register of the Eurasian industrial products for public procurement purposes. Currently, 182 commodity items out of 221 in the list have been approved and the work on remaining items is being continued," Mikhail Myasnikovich stressed.

He has added that the Commission proposes to apply the so-called "cooperative principle" when components manufactured in other EAEU States are used in manufacturing goods as well as certain technological operations are performed in their territory.

This would contribute to developing cooperation ties between the Union countries’ manufacturers.

It bears reminding that at the meeting of the Intergovernmental Council held on July 17 in Minsk in connection with claims from Belarus and Kazakhstan about restrictions on participation in the Russian public procurement, the Commission was instructed to develop regulations for confirming the country of goods origin and rules for maintaining the register of the Eurasian industrial products before year-end.
