Colombia’s Ministry of Information and Communications Technologies (Mintic) has announced a series of measures aimed at camouflaging telecommunications infrastructure in nine cities.

he measures will initially be implemented in the cities of Bogota, Bucaramanga, Cali, Barranquilla, Cartagena, Tunja, Ibague, Armenia and Cartago, telecompaper reports.
Earlier this year, trade association Asomovil said around 7,000 new antennas were needed throughout the country, 70 percent them in departmental capitals, to meet the increased demand in data traffic. ■
