Canada has announced a CA$25.5m highway scheme to support border improvements that have been recently implemented.
Transportation Better access for all traffic at the border
The government of Canada is committing just over CA$10m, with CA$15.5m coming from the British Columbia government.
In the southbound direction, the highway will be widened from one to three lanes and it will be widened from one to two lanes in the northbound direction.
The infrastructure improvement project is in the design phase now, with the tender expected in spring 2017. ■
